How to save space on your phone
Updated over a week ago

If your phone is running out of storage space and you want to free up some memory, you can remove local files associated with your song projects in Rapchat. Follow these steps to save space on your phone:

  1. Open the Rapchat app on your device.

  2. Locate the project for which you want to remove local files.

  3. Tap on the project to open it.

  4. In the project view, tap the three-dot menu icon located in the upper-right corner of the screen.

  5. From the menu options that appear, select "Remove Local Cache" or a similar option related to removing local files.

  6. Confirm your action when prompted to delete the local files associated with the project.

By removing the local cache for a project, you will delete the files stored on your phone while retaining the saved versions in the cloud. This helps to free up space on your device without losing your project data. You can always re-download the project files in the future if you want to work on that project again.

To re-download a project and its associated files:

  1. Open the Rapchat app on your device.

  2. Open the project view by tapping on the project.

  3. Locate the latest version of the project you want to work on.

  4. Tap "Download" next to the version you want to re-download.

  5. Rapchat will retrieve the files from the cloud and download them to your device.

  6. Once the download is complete, you can access and work on the project as usual.

By removing local files for projects and selectively re-downloading them when needed, you can efficiently manage your storage space while keeping your important projects accessible in Rapchat.
