How to find your release on Instagram and Facebook
Updated over a week ago

With Rapchat Distro, you can send your music to Facebook and Instagram, so that your work is available for fans to use in Stories and Reels. Below is more information on how to locate your song and what to do if you are having trouble finding it.

When will my song be live on Instagram & Facebook?

Instagram and Facebook take a little longer to process your songs, so expect it to take up to 30 days to be live.

How do I find my song on Instagram & Facebook?

  • Go to your Instagram profile, and click on the + button to create a post

  • Choose any image or video

  • Click on the Music icon

  • From there you can search by artist name and track title, but the best way is to search by your release's ISRC number. This should pull up any release that is correctly in their system, even if search results aren’t finding it by title.

  • How to search by ISRC

    • You can find your track's ISRC at the bottom of your release details and copy it

    • Enter "ISRC:[INSERT ISRC]" in the search field. For example, if your ISRC was QZNWQ2247171, you'd search for: "ISRC:QZNWQ2247171" in the Instagram Audio Library search bar.

What if my song doesn't show up on Instagram & Facebook?

If the release is NOT showing after 30 days then it may be for one of the following reasons:

  • Song is still processing and had to go through manual review at FB/IG

  • The song contains a commonly used beat. Social audio libraries like Instagram, TikTok, and Snap want to make sure that all the sounds are differentiated and may not release songs that sound too similar to another one.

  • The song contains copyrighted content which was flagged by the service

  • The service is still indexing your artist name or release name. Until your name is indexed, it may not appear in search, despite your music being live. This generally happens if this is the first time using your artist name or if you are using a commonly used name.

Unfortunately. FB/IG does not provide any customer support to troubleshoot this and once we send them the songs, they do not give us an update on when it goes live or if there is an issue. So the only thing you can do to troubleshoot is to try sending your songs again. Here's how to do that:

  1. Go to your Distro Hub and tap on the song you want to re-submit

  2. Tap on the three dot song menu

  3. Choose "Edit"

  4. Click "Continue" without making any edits (unless you want to)

  5. Submit the song for review

Once it goes through the review process again we will resend it to FB/IG. Don't worry, your song will not be removed in the meantime and you will still get any streams or royalties. If the song still is not showing up on IG/FB then it must be a result of one of the reasons listed above. Unfortunately, Facebook does not provide any recourse to fix that aside from resubmitting.
