How to find your release on TikTok
How to find your release on TikTok
Updated over a week ago

With Rapchat Distro, you can send your music to TikTok's sound library so that your work is available for fans to use in their videos. Below is more information on how to locate your song and what to do if you are having trouble finding it.

When will my song be live on TikTok?

TikTok takes a little longer to process your songs, so expect it to take up to 21 days to be live.

How do I find my song on TikTok?

  • Make sure you are using a "Personal Account" and not a "Business Account" or you won't be able to see all music in the TikTok library

  • Open TikTok on your phone and tap the search button at the bottom.

  • Type your "artist name + song name" in the search bar. Then tap the “Sounds” tab. Find your song and tap on it

What if my song doesn't show up on TikTok?

There are several reasons that your song may not be live:

  • It has not been 21 days yet since the release was approved and delivered

  • The song or cover art contains copyrighted content that was flagged by the service

  • The song or cover art contains content that the service finds not appropriate

  • The song contains a commonly used beat. Social audio libraries like Instagram, TikTok, and Snap want to make sure that all the sounds are differentiated and may not release songs that sound too similar to another one.

  • The service is still indexing your artist name or release name. Until your name is indexed, it may not appear in search, despite your music being live. This generally happens if this is the first time using your artist name or if you are using a commonly used name.

Unfortunately, TikTok won't send us a notification as to the status of your song or the reasons it was not uploaded. If it's been 21 days and you still cannot find your release then we can try to resend it for you. Please contact support and share the ISRC codes for the release(s) that you want us to resubmit.
